Unpublished biography of Louis Kossuth [microform], 1853.

Unpublished manuscript written by William T. Coggeshall in 1853 about Hungarian Governor Louis Kossuth's visit to America. Titled "Mission of the age on Kossuth episode," the manuscript outlines seven parts and an appendix, but only contains parts four and six which describe Kossuth on exile, History of coming to the U.S., Kossuth in England, Voyage of the Missisppi, In Baltimore, Kossuth in the U.S., Brooklyn, and Kossuth in Indiana.

Military secretary to Governor Dennison of Ohio during Civil War from April 12, 1861 through Nov. 22, 1862. In 1862 he moved from Columbus to Springfield, Ohio with his wife and started a newspaper.
